Amada is a Panamanian-American artist, writer and historian currently based out of Tallahassee, Florida and working at Midtown Reader. When he's not in the store, you can usually find him experimenting with different cooking recipes, petting any dog he can get his hands on, singing karaoke or watching movies! Some of Amada's favorite movies include Rocky Horror Picture Show, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Portrait of a Lady on Fire, Roma, Y Tu Mama Tambien, The Tale of Princess Kaguya, and Anna Karenina (with Keira Knightley of course). As for music, Amada enjoys listening to and singing almost every genre under the sun. However, he usually finds himself gravitating toward Jazz, Funk, Salsa, R&B, House, Reggaeton/Dembow, Classical and Folk. This includes artists like Billie Holiday, Erykah Badu, Mon Laferte, Natalia Lafourcade, Princess Nokia, Ruben Blades, José James, Bad Bunny, Mos Def, Björk, Ivy Queen, Linda Ronstadt, Megan Thee Stallion and many many more.
